About The Brewery Inn
The Brewery Inn has stood beside the River Severn for almost 200 years, serving as a familiar landmark within the Ironbridge Gorge and a cherished gathering place for generations. Steeped in history and woven into the fabric of Coalport, it has long been a place where stories are shared, friendships are made and memories are created.

When good friends George and Ben took ownership, they knew they were taking on more than just a building; they were becoming custodians of a legacy. The inn holds a particularly special place in George’s heart, having grown up visiting The Brewery Inn as a child. He felt a deep responsibility to honour everything that the late Roger Hotchkiss had built, preserving the spirit of the inn while carefully guiding it into a new chapter.

Over the last 18 months, George and Ben have completely stripped back and refurbished the entire property, breathing new life into every room. What began as a vision has become a labour of love: a complete transformation that respects the history of the building while elevating it for the future.

Today, The Brewery Inn stands renewed; warm, welcoming and thoughtfully crafted for the generations still to come.

George and Ben are proud to have ushered in a new era for this landmark inn, and they can’t wait to share it with everyone who walks through the door.
